We are very pleased to welcome Arthur Fertier to our team at Protection of Biodiversity in Bulgaria Foundation! Arthur joined us at the beginning of May through the #IVY (Interreg Volunteer Youth) programme and is already actively contributing to our work on the #SturNet project.

In just a few weeks, Arthur played a key role in the dissemination of our first SturNet newsletter, helping us reach a broader audience and raise awareness about the importance of sturgeon conservation across the Black Sea region.

Today, on May 21, Arthur also took part in our public #EMDinMyCountry event “Sea Guardians: Stories of Sturgeons and Fishermen” open exibition held in Burgas, where he supported our outreach efforts and engaged with participants to promote the stories of local communities involved in protecting these iconic species.

With a strong background in communication, international relations, and youth engagement, and currently pursuing a double master’s degree at Sciences Po Rennes and Sciences Po Strasbourg, Arthur brings fresh energy and a global perspective to our mission. His dedication to biodiversity and European cooperation is already making a difference.

Welcome aboard, Arthur – we’re thrilled to have you with us!
